Week 3 – Causality

Causality is the relationship between cause and effect. It is the principle that all things that occur have a cause. Whatever has happened was caused to happen by something else. Things cannot occur without a reason.

Scientists recognize this reality and have developed a list of things requiring a cause:

• Every effect has a cause
• Everything that begins has a cause
• Everything that changes has a cause
• Everything that is finite has a cause
• Everything that is limited has a cause
